Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum

The Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum (ISM) has dedicated itself to both the person and the works of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart since 1881. Through initiatives in its three core areas (the organisation of concerts, Mozart museums and academic pursuits) the ISM has succeeded in bridging the gap between tradition and contemporary culture. Through interaction with contemporary composers, its goal is to alter perspectives and provide food for thought.
These goals have been realised in the festivals Mozartwoche and Dialoge, as well as in the museums (Mozart’s birthplace and residence) through contemporary exhibitions and, in the academic field, through the production (printed and online) of a digitized facsimile of the majority of Mozart's instrumental and vocal music – Neue Mozart-Ausgabe.
